Bio
I live in London, UK. I love it here. Not because of some artificially imposed patriotic sense of "belonging to a nation", but because it's beautiful and contains Scotland. Because of the awesome occasionally-true strereotype that it's tough and underdog-loving and has a letting-people-get-off-the-Tube-first sense of politeness. Because it used to and often still does produce the most awesome hilarious comedy in the entire world. I don't want to settle anywhere else but I do want to see every inch of this planet. Including Antarctica. Especially Antarctica (current obssession: Antarctica). I also want to read every book ever written (except, y'know, Mills & Boon and "creationist science" books, once you've read one...) and, um, eat lots of cheese. All of which are difficult things to accomplish, being recently out of university with a bank balance to match. I'm jobhunting.

I'm perpetually directionless, and so torn between

a) The aforementioned travelling to Antarctica and Siberia and Alaska and Tuvalu and New Zealand and everywhere else in the world which will take the rest of my life (current favourite)
b) Sitting in a room and reading history books forever
c) Working for an NGO and actually trying to Do Something To Help
d) Growing turnips on a farm in Dorset

Any help in deciding greatly appreciated.

Awesome music I would recommend: Werewolves of London by Warren Zevon

Things I don't like: grapefruit, close-mindedness, Sarah Palin

Positive changes I would make to the world if I were its Overlord: Install Charlie Brooker as King of England, end factory farming, demand the mandatory insertion of either guitar solos or bagpipes into all new songs, give Simon Cowell a job cleaning the sewers of Calcutta with his tongue. Actually, there are an awful lot of people who deserve that job...

I love Dylan Thomas. Here is some Dylan Thomas:

Now as I was young and easy under the apple boughs
About the lilting house and happy as the grass was green,
The night above the dingle starry,
Time let me hail and climb
Golden in the heydays of his eyes,
And honoured among wagons I was prince of the apple towns
And once below a time I lordly had the trees and leaves
Trail with daisies and barley
Down the rivers of the windfall light.
